Biswas Family Foundation was established in 2023 to accelerate the translation of research discoveries out of the lab and into the real-world.
Sanjit Biswas is the CEO and co-founder of Samsara, founded with the mission to increase the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the operations that power the global economy. Prior to Samsara, he was the CEO and co-founder of Meraki.
Sanjit has been recognized as an MIT Tech Review “Innovator Under 35”, a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, a top 50 SaaS CEO by The Software Report, one of Goldman Sachs 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs, and Glassdoor’s 2018 Top CEO. He has received many awards for academic research in computer networking and is an investor in several startups. Sanjit holds a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from Stanford and an SM in Computer Science from MIT.
In 2023, alongside his wife and co-founder, Hope Biswas, Sanjit created the Biswas Family Foundation with the mission to harness the power of science and technology by funding innovative projects that promise to democratize healthcare and improve millions of lives.
Dr. Hope Biswas was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine from 2018 to 2022 as part of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics’ Population Health Research Team. Hope also served as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the CDC, contributing to projects such as enhanced surveillance of Zika virus infection in Colombia and prevention of congenital syphilis infection in California.
She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley, an ScM in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a BA in Psychology from Wellesley College.
In 2023, Hope and her husband, Sanjit Biswas, founded the Biswas Family Foundation with the goal of leveraging scientific and technological advancements to revolutionize healthcare and make a lasting impact on global public health.
